TVS Bikes priced between 1 to 2 lakhs in India


TVS has an expansive range of motorcycles on sale in the Indian market. While the manufacturer has its roots stuck in the no-frills commuter range priced below the Rs. 1 lakh mark, it also has some of the most enticing products in the market that are priced in the vicinity of the Rs. 1 lakh to 2 lakhs price bracket.

After all, we all know that while most of the consumers pick motorcycles on a tight budget and hence end up picking the abovesaid no-frills commuters that are priced very well. But there’s one nothing to note that every brand has to showcase its image in terms of engineering and overall sophistication, so the expensive and flagship motorcycles do play an important role in this very aspect.

TVS has a flagship motorcycle, the RR310, which is priced above the Rs. 2 lakhs mark, but the brand also has some of the most fetching products in the market in the vicinity of the Rs. 1 lakh to 2 lakhs price bracket, as we said above. The TVS Apache RR310 has been updated three times since its launch, and it is now one of the most refined and quickest motorcycles in the segment. It now features different riding modes and newer tyres, which means it grips well with the road proving an immaculate riding experience.

1.      TVS Apache RTR 160

The TVS Apache RTR 160 is an old bike, without a doubt, but TVS has kept it in its product portfolio till 2021 for a reason. It screams sporty, aggressive, and since it’s a familiar model – mind you, Indian consumers do prefer familiar motorcycles – the reliability is known and it’s excellent, to be honest. So, apart from minor updates over the years to make it comply with the latest norms or so, TVS Bikes haven’t updated the RTR 160 in a long while. There have been some minor decal changes too, but the bike mostly looks similar to when it first made its debut in the Indian market. It comes powered by a 159.7cc single-cylinder fuel-injected engine, which is capable of churning out 15.1bhp and 13.9Nm of torque.

2.      TVS Apache RTR 160 4V

Now, unlike the vanilla Apache RTR 160, the RTR 160 4V brings all the latest enhancements TVS has on offer in this segment and at this price point. Of course, it does cost a bit more than its lesser sibling, but the extra bit of modern technology and features it brings to the mix is worth it, at least for some – otherwise, go pick the RTR 160. TVS did update the RTR 160 4V earlier last year before the BS-VI norms kicked in with some handy and nice features like a LED headlamp, redesigned LED DRLs, and new graphics. Lastly, the 160 4V comes powered by the same engine as the standard 160, which is a 159.7cc single-cylinder fuel-injected engine, which is capable of churning out 15.1bhp and 13.9Nm of torque. It is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox.

3.      TVS Apache RTR 180

The Apache RTR 180 from TVS follows the footsteps of the standard RTR 160, wherein it brings the familiarity and known reliability factor along with a better riding experience to the table without costing too much by avoiding all the new modern-age gizmos overall. It gets the same design as its smaller-capacity sibling, meaning it still looks quite good despite being an older motorcycle. Powering the RTR 180, as its name implies, is a 177.4cc single-cylinder engine, which produces 16.3bhp and 15.5Nm of torque. It comes with a 5-speed gearbox as standard. The RTR 180 costs as much as the RTR 160 4V, but it offers better performance by comprising modern-age features.

4.      TVS Apache RTR 200 4V

As the name suggests again, the RTR 200 4V is a new-age motorcycle from TVS, which gets all the modern-day bells and whistles the brand has on offer at this price point. It looks modern, contemporary, and sharp just like its lesser sibling. However, it goes one step ahead in terms of its powertrain, as it gets a juicy 197.7cc single-cylinder motor, which is good for 20.21bhp and16.8Nm of torque. It is also mated to a 5-speed gearbox.
